Design & Development
At Web Solution, we create designs that adapt seamlessly to various devices and screen sizes. Our iterative design process uses WordPress and customizable themes, eliminating the need for static mockups for every template. However, we may share visuals to guide creative direction (e.g., colors, typography, and textures). This concept is referred to as “atmosphere.”
Our designs are tailored exclusively to your business requirements based on your brief. You will have multiple opportunities to review our work and provide feedback. We will share a link to a development site for ongoing reviews and maintain regular contact via phone or email.
Should you decide to change your mind about the direction of our work or terminate the project before the website is officially launched, you will be invoiced for the work completed up to that point.
Payment Terms
Payment can be made via Direct Debit or other agreed-upon methods. Clients are responsible for ensuring that payments are made according to the agreed schedule outlined in the project contract or invoice.
Failure to make payments on time may result in delays to the project timeline or suspension of services. Web Solution reserves the right to charge late payment fees or terminate the agreement if payments remain outstanding for an extended period.
Text Content
Unless explicitly agreed upon in the project summary, Web Solution is not responsible for providing text content. If professional copywriting is needed, we can offer this service under a separate estimate.
Graphics and Photographs
Clients must supply graphic files in editable, digital formats and photographs in high-resolution digital formats.
If you lack suitable imagery, we can use our copyright-free image library or purchase a limited number of stock photos at no extra cost. However, for excessive requests for new stock images, we may invoice you for additional purchases. Alternatively, we can recommend stock image providers if you’d prefer to handle purchases yourself.
Hosting Fees
Web Solution includes the first year of hosting in the project cost. After the first year:
- Hosting fees for standard websites are £80 per year.
- Hosting fees for e-commerce websites are £200 per year.
Hosting fees cover the cost of maintaining your website on our preferred hosting provider but do not include additional support services. If hosting fees are not paid on time, Web Solution reserves the right to suspend hosting services until payment is received.
Clients are free to migrate their website to another hosting provider at any time. Web Solution can assist with the migration process at an additional cost.
Code
Our WordPress websites rely on modern technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL databases. While we build using current standards, the tech landscape evolves rapidly. Web Solution cannot be held responsible for changes in third-party code languages or future compatibility issues with WordPress or related technologies.
Browser Testing
We ensure our websites perform well on modern browsers, including Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Opera, as well as on iOS and Android devices. However, we do not test compatibility with outdated browsers or less common platforms such as Opera Mini.
Changes to Your Original Brief
Flexibility is integral to our approach. If you need to make changes or additions to the original project scope, we are happy to accommodate. A separate estimate will be provided for any additional work required.
Support
After launching your website, its maintenance and updates become essential. We offer comprehensive support contracts to handle tasks such as minor changes, SEO advice, plugin updates, backups, and security fixes.
That said, WordPress, its themes, and plugins are third-party solutions. While we strive to resolve conflicts or issues promptly, we cannot be held responsible for any instability or disruptions caused by these external technologies.
As your website scales, you may require increased support levels. In such cases, we reserve the right to adjust our support fees, ensuring you are informed in advance.
Hosting
Web Solution is not a hosting provider. If you already have hosting, we can work with your setup. Alternatively, we can recommend or manage hosting services through our preferred provider.
Regardless of the hosting arrangement, Web Solution assumes no responsibility for the following:
- Website downtime
- Data loss (content, assets, or emails)
- Revenue loss due to downtime
- Third-party hosting issues
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
While we possess extensive experience in SEO, search engine algorithms change frequently. Web Solution makes no guarantees regarding search engine ranking improvements. However, we ensure that all developed pages are accessible to search engines and meet best practices at the time of delivery.
